About Saltburn Hearing
Saltburn Hearing opened in February 2023 to address the need for a local hearing clinic in the Redcar and Cleveland area. As GP practices began to lose funding for ear wax removal it became obvious that the area was lacking in affordable and local hearing care. We’re a private independent company, but we’re not here to take advantage of you. We try to keep costs down and are proud to be the most affordable wax removal specialist in the area. We also want to raise awareness of hearing loss without the pressure of you buying hearing aids, we give honest and impartial advice so that you can make a fully informed decision going forward without any pressure to purchase hearing aids.

Meet The Team
Audiologist – Jenny
Jenny has worked within Audiology since 2016. She completed her degree in sound engineering at Teesside University before gaining her Audiology diploma whilst working at The James Cook University Hospital. A few years later she joined a national hearing care company where she trained in microsuction ear wax removal, adding this skill to her job role of dispensing a range of hearing aids across the north east in clinics and homes.
In December 2022 Jenny decided to become independent and open Saltburn Hearing so that she could use her experience and qualifications to help those in and around Saltburn-by-the-Sea.
Hearing Care Assistant – Ade
Ade joined Saltburn Hearing in February 2025 as a part‑time receptionist and quickly demonstrated a strong aptitude for audiology. He commenced his Audiology degree at Queen Margaret University in September 2025 and now works full‑time within the practice. Ade helps our patients with enquiries, undertaking hearing aid repairs, checking ears for wax and performing hearing tests, he is very popular with our regular patients. As his qualification progresses he will take on more clinical duties, including wax removal.
Receptionist – Kay
Kay has been part of Saltburn Hearing since 2023 and brings over 40 years of experience in commercial management to the practice. Her extensive background in customer service and operational leadership enhances the efficiency and professionalism of our front‑of‑house services. In her role as Receptionist, Kay supports patients with appointment scheduling, general enquiries, and day‑to‑day administrative needs, ensuring a welcoming and well‑organised experience for everyone who visits the clinic.
Receptionist – Lorraine
Lorraine joined Saltburn Hearing in April 2026 following a successful career in Nursing. She brings a compassionate, patient‑centred approach to her role, supported by extensive clinical experience and a highly professional manner. Lorraine assists with appointment scheduling, general enquiries, and front‑of‑house support, helping to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all patients attending the clinic.
